GENERAL INTRODUCTION
Amid market volatility, evolving legal frameworks, and the growing complexity of commercial transactions, commercial disputes in Vietnam are not only increasing in number but also changing in nature and underlying causes. In this context, effective dispute management is no longer confined to resolving conflicts after they arise; it must be embedded early in the process of contract formation, operational structuring, and legal risk control. For businesses, lawyers, and in-house legal teams, the ability to proactively identify risks, anticipate potential scenarios, and select appropriate dispute resolution mechanisms is becoming an increasingly practical and essential component of business management.
As part of Vietnam ADR Week 2026 (VAW 2026), the Vietnam ADR Connect Forum on “Managing Commercial Disputes in Vietnam: ADR Practice and User Perspectives” provides a platform for dialogue among legal practitioners, businesses, arbitral institutions, and professional legal organizations on the practical aspects of dispute management and resolution. The forum aims to connect the ADR user community, consolidate practice-based recommendations, and promote the more effective use of ADR mechanisms in the business environment, thereby enhancing legal certainty, proactive risk management, and the adaptability of enterprises in the face of commercial dispute risks.
